Denmark and Danish Flag

Denmark is a country that often tops the list of desirable destinations for expats from the United Kingdom, and for good reason. With its unique blend of high living standards, rich cultural heritage, and progressive social policies, Denmark offers a quality of life that is undeniably appealing to those seeking a change.

Here are some of the key reasons why Denmark is a great country to move to from the UK.

  1. Quality of Life: Denmark consistently ranks high in global quality of life indices. Its strong economy, excellent healthcare, and world-class education system make it an attractive place to live. The Danish work-life balance is highly prioritized, and the shorter workweek, generous paid vacation, and strong workers’ rights ensure a well-rounded lifestyle.
  2. Safety and Security: Denmark is renowned for its low crime rates and political stability. The country’s social safety net provides a sense of security for its residents, with access to healthcare, education, and unemployment benefits.
  3. Stunning Natural Beauty: Denmark’s landscapes are a treat for nature enthusiasts. The picturesque coastline, rolling countryside, and lush forests offer endless opportunities for outdoor activities and relaxation.
  4. Bike-Friendly Culture: Danish cities like Copenhagen are known for their bike-friendly infrastructure, promoting a healthy and eco-conscious lifestyle. Cycling is a common mode of transportation, reducing the need for cars and contributing to a cleaner environment.
  5. Progressive Social Policies: Denmark is celebrated for its inclusive and liberal policies, including gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and healthcare accessibility. The welfare state ensures that no one is left behind.
  6. Strong Sense of Community: Danish society emphasizes a sense of community and social cohesion. The “hygge” concept, which represents coziness and togetherness, is a fundamental part of Danish culture.

Close ties to Denmark at Bearsbys

Annette Bearsby was originally born in Copenhagen which means the Bearsby family have close ties with Denmark and it’s many traditions. Paul and Annette Bearsby have been travelling to and from Denmark for a number of years and so it will come as no surprise that Britannia Bearsbys regularly carry out removals to all parts of Denmark.

Britannia Bearsbys are a family run removals company based in Maidstone, Kent. We have been in operation for  over 30 years and have moved our customers all over the world. One of Britannia Bearsbys most recent removals to Denmark included three deliveries to Copenhagen.

Our team collected three different households from Tonbridge, London and Canterbury before heading through the Eurotunnel to France and driving up through Germany until they reached Puttgaden where they caught the ferry to Rødbyhavn in Denmark. It was then possible to drive all the way up to Copenhagen to make the various deliveries. Our team were even able to stop for the weekend in Copenhagen, which gave them an opportunity to experience Tivoli gardens in the build-up to Christmas.

The following week our team made a collection of goods in Copenhagen and brought them back to the UK before delivering them to Greenwich in London. By Sharing the load and being able to bring goods back to the UK our truck was not running empty at any stage. Each customer shared the cost of this which provides an economical way of transporting goods for everyone.

Britannia Bearsbys can cater to house removals of any size and any time frame. We have all different types of vehicle from a 3.5 tonne luton van up to an 36 tonne road train. We use all of our own staff and all of our own packaging materials.
