One of our recent removals in Tunbridge Wells was a fantastic 18,000 square foot property tucked out of the way en route to Rusthall. The property in question required 14,000 cubic feet of furniture to be moved into a property on the other side of Tunbridge Wells. As you can imagine, this volume of furniture is an incredible amount of work for just one day and so the move was spread out over two weeks. We began this removal by sending in a team of packing staff who ensured that all of the contents of the property were securely packed up into boxes and ready to be moved. A number of chandeliers needed to be packed into wooden shipping crates as well as some of the more fragile pictures, paintings and mirrors. As the move took place over a number of days it would’ve been impossible to finish all of the packing before beginning to move the contents. To counter this whilst the packing and wrapping was finished. Another team had already begun moving all of our customer’s belongings into the vehicles.

Instead of moving directly into the new property we were asked to bring the goods into our storage facility for a week to allow the exchange and completion to take place. With an onsite facility that can hold up to 650 storage containers this was not a problem at all. Our men worked continuously to make sure that everything was securely packed, wrapped and loaded into our storage containers. Once the property was completely empty and its contents were safely in our hands. We could then began the process of moving everything into the new property on the other side of Tunbridge Wells. One by one the customer’s storage containers were unloaded into our removals trucks and transported to the new property. Unfortunately again due to problems with access, it was not possible to use one of our larger vehicles to take everything at once.
